We publish the numbers

STRIDVAL started because two runners could not find out how heavy a pair of shorts was before buying
them. We decided to publish what the mill publishes: fabric weight in gsm, water column, breathability,
micron count. If a number is not available, the product does not go on the site.

Small runs, one mill

Our technical fabrics come from a mill in northern Portugal that also supplies cycling and
mountaineering brands. Buying in quantity lets us keep the same laminate across seasons instead of
chasing a cheaper one.

Tested on the route, not the runway

Every pattern is tested on a forward lean, a squat, and a full stride before approval. Samples that
fail go back, not on sale.
